so i was at the pet store pickin up crickets since my 2000 shipment dont come in till next week and i go what the hey they just opened a new pet store lets go check it out so im browsing the reptiles a few nice things here and there best part was is that there cages were very maintained *claps hands* but however i look into these 4 cages i go ha theres a cricket in with that baby corn snake wait theres one in the other and the other etc. i asked why there was large adult crickets were in baby corn snake cages the "reptile person" goes its there food all baby corns eat is large crickets since they are to small to eat mice i almost died laughing. needless to say baby corns are more than large enough i just had 2 clutches hatch and over half have eating alrerady and the meal beeing can you guess? baby pinky mice geesh i didnt know stores were allowd to hire ppl for specific departments that know nothing of what they are doing but i got a laugh out of it

Thats sad. I saw the same thing at a petland by me once. I asked someone that orders the F/T products and she just rolled her eyes and got rid of the crickets. At least she knows that they eat mice.

Maybe they will get someone with some experience to work there. Got extra time to hold down a part time job?

the sad part is i so applied and they said that i didnt have enough experience i was like wtf 8 years with reptiles breeding snakes for 3-4 of them years have more reptiles in house then they have in the whole store and know more about reptiles then they could ever have yeah im not a pro nor do i know everything but more then they ever could
