Since Conant and Collins refer to Emydoidea blandingii as the "semi-box turtle" (due to the anterior plastral hinge), I figured the box turtle crowd might be interested in this video I shot a few nights ago. I love the adroit manipulation of each egg after it is deposited (to move it forward into the flask). Notice how she continued to cover her nest at the end after I had already removed her 12 eggs for artificial incubation (to be released). Once this taxon begins oviposition, there's not much that will put them off...
