I am halfway housing for my local herp society...I was told he is a gopher...someone else on line said he is a bull. I know nothing about these snakes, so any help you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I would say its a sonoran gopher cause it lacks the huge rostral scale that all bulls have.
Nice looking snake no matter what he/she is.

I was gonna say Bull @ first, but then read Shannon's mention of the rostral scale. Those Sonorans look so much like Bulls... hence the name P.c. affinis. Good looking snake whatever it turns out to be.

I would agree with the above. Due to facial scale structure this appears to be a sonoran although the pattern is more or less identical to many bulls. Maybe an integrade.
Anyway, A word of caution......
Don't get addicted. All your money will be spend on these snakes and your time invested in the forum.
Have fun. Cool snake.
