Fresh Hatched Red Bloods With A Twist!

BROWNSBOAS Jun 29, 2007 09:09 PM

I just had a new batch of Red Bloods hatch out and I am thrilled with the result. I produced two clutches in 05 from the Sire of this litter and a fellow by the name of Joe Messenbaugh bought all 20 that I hatched out that year. This was the same pairing as one of the clutches produced in 05. Both parents are for the most part striped and I was hoping to prove them as codom but out of the 21 I produced in 05 7 were striped just like the parents. This year out of the 11 I hatched out 5 are what I consider striped. This is just a dinking around project, but I love bloods the parents are dog tame and their demeanor has passed on to their offspring. I would like to also give a BIG THANK YOU out to Rico Walder of Signal Herptoculture for loaning me a little bit of his incubator space! I would not be where I am today in my life and business without Rico. Thanks for being such a great mentor!!! So here they are!!!

I actually said "Oh my God" out loud when I scrolled down to your male. He's likely the nicest striped red I've seen. Congrats!

Nice Clutch! I just think i found an answer I am looking for.

I have a killer striped female, that was produced by kevin marter that would pair up great w/ your male....

I live in Chattanooga about 8 miles from the heart of the city on Lovely Smelly Lake Chicamauga!!! Anyway I have a fairly large collection of boas and I always loved bloods and over 03 I acquired 5 animals from two different folks! Anyway, I got into Bloods to quench that large python fetish I had from 10 years of keeping burms, but I had kids and the burms had to go!!!LOL. Bloods really are the best python species to keep in my opinion, and I have kept them all. All my adult Reds are DOG TAME as well. Here are some pics of my main snakeroom!!
