Is it possible to...

JSpythons Jun 30, 2007 12:24 AM

produce a pastel albino/albino pastel? I would like to try but if it just cant be done, why waste my time. I know that a Pastel Axanthic(thanks to Graziani Reptiles for an amazing animal)can be produced so why couldn't a pastel albino be made. I've got a pair of het albinos and a pair of pastels so if it is possible, producing this snake is many years down the road but any insights would be nice.

If you want to do it then you should but it's not going to look too much different than a normal albino... pretty much the only difference is that the pastel albino does not have yellow on its head. But now if you wanted to make some bumblebee albinos that would pretty sweet.

Alot of work Pastel/Albino, for not too much visual rewards...

If you only have a couple projects going maybe you want to concentrate your efforts on something that will have a lttle more POP visually?

JMHO..

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking that since pastels and albinos pretty much have the same yellow coloration it might not be to visible. I am just starting out and only have 1.1 pastels, 1.1 het albinos, and 1.2 normals.
I would not be able to produce the pastel albino for another 7 years or so, maybe less. In 7 years I'll pick up other morphs that will look better when combined with the albino. Though I would like to see what the super pastel albino looks like or the killerbee albino.
I think that all The Snake Keeper needs to do is breed their Killer Clown to a spider and see what comes up.
