OK. nothing THAT drastic BUT...the past month has been rough and the wife has been in charge of my little freinds...NOW Kooz is thriving, but his firy eyed "mate" named WADI(we all know what wadi means I hope)hasn't been. I got WADI from urotopia last summer. They have been neck and neck for growing and weight gain until now. They are housed separately in 4x2 enclosures identical in almost everyway. Same bulbs, same burrow, same hides, same care.(you guys may not all agree with how I raise them- I sort of combine many "caresheets" and try to give them "natural conditions" with seasonal variation, etc. -working great for KOOZ, and now for the last I would have to say about TWO months, not so great for WADI.Aegyptia range is HUGE, and Kooz and Wadi differ enough I would bet they come from different places.(both WC babies)Kooz is approximately 11 inches snout to tail and heavy as a rock(no scale-it broke)Wadi- 10 inches not as heavy(even taking into consideration difference in length-really need a new scale) UVB is good- i got bulbs up the yin and yang-and i can acheive about any temp gradient. She is eating and pooping but hides too much, seems a little sluggish, and is EXTRA skittish. I HAD TO move the cages into a diffrent room for NOISE reasons 1 month ago- I think the stress of the animal neighbors and moving into the new room has caused this problem, she has always been "fiesty" and "cross" but NEVER a problem until now. Any suggestions how i can "coax her back"? (I have left her alone now for quite some time but no progress)of course any other suggestions are welcome, man I am still a NOOB.thanx people.
