my picks from my friends litter....

FRoberts Jun 30, 2007 11:31 AM

Ok, I already posted the story about my good friend Jim. Well all the snakes shed, he picked his keepers, and sent me pics of all the remaining males. I am getting 2.1 from this litter, I already have 2 females and no males. One of the females was abnormally aggressive compared to all the others and Jim picked this one for me. ( he knows I am interested in any overly aggressive boa or python )

Here are the two males I choose from the litter...

This male looked different from every other snake in the entire litter, he reminded me of a Suriname.

Male # 2 has nice circle back pattern ( like his mother and most of the litter, father has same circle pattern as well ), you can not tell from pic but he has a lot of pink coloration.

here is the aggressive female he picked for me.

After they eat a few meals I will get them. We also are trying to wait for his argentine female to drop, I am getting 1.2 from that litter if all goes well.

So he will patiently wait for me to breed my Dumerils, Brazilians, and or my Jungle Carpet Pythons. Then he gets whatever he wants as well. We have been doing stuff like this for about 20 years. I taught him how to breed snakes and he taught me to freshwater fish. He has bred twice as many species as me and specializes in turtles as well. Once, we where driving down a road in the pine barrens and he seen a turtle that got hit by a car, we pull over, turtle shell cracked in half, but still alive, he cut through the back leg area and removed 4 eggs and ended up hatching them out. I was impressed lol. They where painted turtles. Unreal stuff!!!!

Nice choices Frank. That first one looks more like a Guyana than a Suri but most people think they are the same though. I try to refer to the peaky ones as suris and the blocky ones (much like some sharp albinos) to be Guyana ones. I see the pink in the second one and looks as though to be a ladder tail also. Congrats on the new additions and I would say take pics for us so see if Jim can take one more set after the next shed for us before shipping
