i've recieved some emails about this cross and i'll post my reply to one individual here.
Let's 1st look at these mutations individually...
The "Blaze phase" Goini: A hyperythristic (spell?) Mutation; from my understanding of this mutation the "Blaze" trait enhances color when present... (i.e. if "blaze" was expressed in a muddy brown colored specimen it would enhance the muddy brown color)
The Hypomelanistic Brooksi: This mutation reduces the amount of black pigment expressed...
Snake selected for this project:
Female:
Blaze originally popped up in Hi-red Goini... my female still expresses some nice pigments unlike most blaze phase Goini I've seen.

Male:
Hypomelanistic Flame Brooksi... the term Flame was giving to "Normal"/non-morph Florida Kings that expressed above average red pigments and continued to express these pigments into adulthood... The Hypo gene was bred into these "Flames", creating the hypo "flames"

now lets think for a sec...
a) The hypo takes most of the dark pigment away...
b) The "blaze" intensifies the ground color ...
c) The two specimen selected for this project still show good color into adulthood...
d) 2x Hets are all have Orange bands and i can already see Orange Speckling...
soooooo all together the ingredients for a GREAT project IMO...
My hope and belief is that this combination will yield THE most INTENSE RED King crosses ever seen!

thanx for look'n & read'n
