rankins dragons...is this a beginners lizard?

compasscreek Aug 18, 2003 12:11 AM

i'd like to get a frilled but it's adult size keeps me from getting one. in searching for an alternative i came across the rankins. it seems to be what i'm looking for.

would you consider the rankins dragon a beginer species AND if so, could you recommend a couple breeders that have CBB rankins?

You're lucky with this one- all Rankin's are CBB.
They're very much like the bearded dragon but smaller, and beardies are often touted as a beginner lizard. So if you do your homework I think you should be fine. They're very cute!

Rankins are a very good choice for a beginner. I got an awesome one from Sandfire Dragon Ranch.
