their are twelve different for of lucy's so far. im going to show you what one can produce by breeding a lucy to a normal.
BlackEeyelucy(fireXfire) X normal= all fires
the rest are blue eyed lucy's
lucy(lesserXlesser) X normal= all lessers
lucy(mojaveXmojave) X normale= all mojaves
lucy(latteXlatte) X normal= all latte
lucy(butterXbutter) X normal= all butters
lucy(vinrussohetlucyXvinrussohetlucy) X normal= all vinrussohetlucy
lucy(lesserXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%lesser 25%normal
lucy(lesserXphantom) X normal= 25%lucy 25%phantom 25%lesser 25%normal
lucy(lesserXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%lesser 25%normal
lucy(vinrussohetlucyXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%vinrussohet 25%normal
lucy(butterXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%butter 25%normal
lucy(butterXlesser) X normal= 25%lucy 25%butter 25%lesser 25%normal
if you get homozygous parents like two super lessers. when you breed them all the babies would belucy's. same goes for super mojaves, super fires, super het russo's, and supper butters.
lucy(lesserXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%lesser 25%normal lucy(lesserXphantom) X normal= 25%lucy 25%phantom 25%lesser 25%normal lucy(lesserXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%lesser 25%normal lucy(vinrussohetlucyXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%vinrussohet 25%normal lucy(butterXmojave) X normal= 25%lucy 25%mojave 25%butter 25%normal lucy(butterXlesser) X normal= 25%lucy 25%butter 25%lesser 25%normal
Are you sure about these last few? You are assuming separate genes rather than alleles (different mutations of the same gene) here. We don't have a ton (or any in some of these examples) public reports of the outcomes of these cross type lucy X normal breedings but the ones I have heard have produced about 50/50 of the two parent types with no lucy and no normals.
Nice info. providing Nintendo!
Not to bust on anyone but I'm pretty sure the post above is wrong on the combo leucistics. This is all very new and open to debate but I believe the disputed outcome would be as follows:
lucy (lesser X mojave) X normal = 50% lesser, 50% mojave
lucy (lesser X phantom) X normal = 50% lesser, 50% phantom
lucy (lesser X mojave) X normal = 50% lesser, 50% mojave
lucy (Vin Russo X mojave) X normal = 50% Vin Russo, 50% mojave
lucy (butter X mojave) X normal = 50% butter, 50% mojave
lucy (butter X lesser) X normal = 50% butter, 50% lesser
I believe Randy is correct, and that so far none of the "Combo Lucies" have reproduced themselves when bred to a normal, such as when a Bee is bred to a normal, you can get pastels, spiders, normals, and bees.
Since you can breed a pewter (cinn x pastel)to a normal and get pewters OR a Pastave (mojave x pastel) and get pastaves...wouldn't the same be true of the lucies that are produced by breed to different but similar traits together? Like if you breed a mojave x lesser lucy to a normal, shouldn't be possible to get mojaves, lessers, Mojo/lesser lucies and normals?
Of coarse this would not apply to a super vin russo, super Mojave, super butter, super lesser, etc...
Sure you'd have to play the odds a bit and you'd have to expect no to get any lucies but...shouldn't it be possible or have I overlooked something?
