Looking for Weather website

archaeo1 Jul 01, 2007 02:46 PM

Someone not long ago posted a link to what was described as an experimental weather website that had spectacular animations of cloud cover and dopplar radar. Could whoever that was repost that? I loved the site and did not save the link. Thanks! --Henry W.

Here it is.

www.weather.com/weather/map/interactive/USTX0023?

Warning: It's in Beta testing and has crashed my browser more than once (other applications are not effected). I'd recommend closing other browser windows before launching it. It also takes awhile to load the scrolling radar images (one frame for every five minutes over the last several hours).

Hey Henry,
www.weather.com , type in terlingua,tx and scroll to the bottom of the page. It will show a map of that area and you can click on it to activate. You can also click on MONTH and it will give you a 10 day forecast and the precip. for eveyday that month.
We left the next day after I saw you, how was your trip?
Later
Rick

Thanks, Rick. We had a great time but nothing much herp-wise after we met you. Only a few atrox and night snakes after that. But hey, it really didn't matter. I saw what I wanted: the incredible star-filled nights along Colorado Canyon, the hospitality of folks in Terlingua and Study Butte, a look at the little mesa I own over by Cigar Mtn., and the time I had catching up with the locals on all that had happened in the past 23 years. We were just there one more night after you. --Henry W.
