Amel Tiger.........

JoshHutto Jul 01, 2007 03:51 PM

Here is a pic of our Amel tiger female. She is awesome with a great personallity, well until a rat enters the room. She is appr. 5 1/2 ft long now and eating med rats every 5 days. I just love her white head and look forward to watching her grow up and seeing that head get whiter and that yellow getting brighter. All the rest of you that have amel's please post pics of them, I think they are sooo under-rated, they blow away all but the very nicest purples and I look forward to picking up a few more amels and a pair of purples in the future.

your Amel looks great..underated not..but limiting yes.(one color)..but thanks for sharing.
Heres a PP white phase female @ 9' year old..

well thanks for the comment, your's looks very nice as well even though if someone is going to get a white phase IMO the amels are much nicer. But for breeding purposes the chance of hatching out a very nice purple is a bonus that I can't get with the amels which is why I want both lines in my collection. That way I get the best of both worlds, super high white amels and hopefully dark purple clark line albinos.

I was on the phone with Cindy a few weeks ago and asked if any others were as nice as her and she said as they are getting older, they are all gaining more and more white. She told me that they think the amels (not tigers or super tigers) will eventually gain just as much white when they are completely mature(a 5 yr old snake is not fully mature). Hopefully they will see this and post some pics of the first and second year amels.

I just got this '06 female from the Baldagos last week. They were great to deal with, and what a fantastic snake. Everything I hoped she would be. She looks nice now, I can't wait to see what changes occur as she gets older.
