forkit Jul 02, 2007 04:52 PM

not being sure that I'll always have access to the internet, what is a good print book on breeding ball pythons? I want lots of detail. and good all-pupose reference?

hope to start breeding this season.

Is that Richard Ross' book ????

............yea.......you are correct........it IS the only book you will ever actually need to buy and read.....

read it all then read it again.....when done the second time.....read it again.........all of it.......!

.......besides trial and failures...or good fortunes....that's how I learned........that, and asking 2 billion questions.......

anyone can ask questions........you have to remember the answers....

I bought it over 10 years ago and I soon hope to actually apply what I learned. I have seen copies of it available on E-Bay, if your interested.

What about 'The Complete Ball Python' by Kevin McCurley? Lots of pretty pictures and a great way to see what all those morphs are made up of.

There are a few good books out there now for ball pythons and other python species...never hurts to have a few different books to refer to.

I recommend a new book which has already become "The Bible" for ball python breeders and keepers-Dave and Tracy Barker's "Pythons of the World, Vol.II: Ball Pythons". A little expensive, but worth it-a class act throughout!

For a bit less money, I also recommend Kevin McCurley's "The Complete Ball Python"

Richard Ross "The Reproductive Husbandry Of Pythons And Boas"- If you want to find out about all Pythons and Boas. Great book and I have my copy with the black cover for a long time now.

David and Tracy Barker's "Pythons of the World, Vol.II: Ball Pythons"- Awesome Book on Ball Pythons, worth every penny. I also have and love the first Vol.

Kevin McCurley's "The Complete Ball Python"-
Great book to carry around and packed with a lot of great information.

All of these are great books to have in your book collection.

Good Luck..
