I just noticed that all of the snakes I have set up in the indoor outdoor cages go th the bathroom outside! No more cleaning cages just wait for rain!

My corn won't go in his cage for anything - I think he'd explode first! When I see him getting particularly restless, that's a sign to take him out and put him in a separate enclosure. Sure enough within a few minutes he poops and then happily goes back to his clean cage.

My savannah monitor is totally house-trained! He bangs on the lid of his cage to go outside. If I ignore him, he gets louder and more insistant until I take him out and put him on his lease. He uses the same spot outside to do his business and gets very upset if anything is in the way. He's also a lap lizard. He likes nothing more than to be stroked like a cat and scratched behind the ears.

Ha ha I knew they would! I think sometimes having to defecate in their cage is what stresses them out. Pooping is a very basic and important behavior that has to be one of the most ingrained behaviors in any animal. It's very important!I would take it as a sign that they consider the inside their "home".
