Its arguably the biggest and most diversified croc farm in the world. Its called Samut Prakan. A good friend of mine owns it, his name is Uthen Youngprapakorn. Its certainly the biggest I've ever seen and I've seen a lot worldwide. He probably has in excess of 250,000 crocs and reguraly produces Tomistoma schleggeli and probably has 19-20 different species on the farm. Uthen is a great guy and if you travel there look him up. thanks...Tom Crutchfield
Uthen and I made a road trip a couple of months ago and he didn't mention needing Morelets. TC
He did originally want some, 200-500 specimens but the price was to high for them. He like to buy in high numbers and get them cheap!
Rick, ill take some of those white Morelets, but have to wait until the US lowers there stautus to threatened, this is in the process now and shouldnt be to long until its done. If you or the farm there can supply the Crocodylus acutus and Caiman c. fuscus the farm in Thailand would be interested in those, but again in numbers and low cost. (Email me, not on the board)
Hi Tom, nice to see you on the croc board. Get a hold of me when you get a chance.
When Uthen has a small amount of specimens in his collection, for example 30 Morelet's he doesnt really count them as being a species he has, he doesnt really start counting them until he has 1,000 in his collection
1,000 is the mininum number he wants of every species, and has well over this number for MANY species already!
If only we had numbers like that here in the USA!!
Donny
thank you Tom an Donny...

I saw this post and was interested so i looked it up only to find horrible reviews... Are the animals there really treated as poorly as i've been reading? It would really be a shame for it be the biggest and yet all the of animals there in addition to crocs are all treated so poorly.
to Samut Prakan many times and don't agree with your assessment. I remember in 1981 seeing an about 20 lbs Chitra chitra there and in 1993 seeing the same turtle weighing over 200 lbs. Uthen is now hatching 300-400 False Gavials annually. I tried for 20 plus years and only got eggs. There have only been 2 hatchedin the US ever. You can't treat crocs bad and breed them. I know I've sucessfully bred 9 species of crocs in my life. You probably read the ramblings of some animal rights moron who couldn't tell good from bad. Before you make statements ONLY BASED on what you read you should inquire further. THIS MUCH I CAN TELL YOU WITH AUTHORITY THEY KNOW HOW TO KEEP AND BREED CROCS!TC
That is exactly why I asked. I wanted more information and input from others.
I totally agree with Tom - and the owner Uthen Youngprapakorn is also very active in crocodilian conservation issues and groups, like the CSG Tomistoma Task Force ( www.tomistoma.org). Please apologize my late response..
Best wishes
Ralf
