Feeding to inhance colors?

john_Licata Aug 18, 2003 06:59 AM

I have a young Mon. cobra. It is still high in pink, but I can tell that it is growing out of it. I would like to try to push it towards a golden color.
I have been told that treating your feeders with (beta carateen) can cause an increase in orange color in albino reptiles. I have seen the affects of this in geckos and in burmese pythons.
Does anyone have an idea what supliments I might be able to use to increase yellow or gold coloration?

Yep. Mazuri Carnivorous Reptile Gel contains canthaxanthin and does a good job of bringing out the colors.
