Louisiana pinesnake yearlings

daveb Jul 03, 2007 08:23 PM

Since a lot of people are posting pics of some great pits this week I decided to jump in. I just took quick pics of some holdback '06 Louisiana pinesnakes.
The top picture is a female produced from animals I acquired from John Ginter in '02. You can't see it but she has some nice reddish brown flecking on the back 1/3. Why she chooses to hang out in the smallest box available is beyond me.
The girl laying flat in her hide box is from Tom Agosta. She is going to be one good looking girl at 5 1/2 feet. Good looks but bad temper.
Both girls are a bit over 3 feet, weigh close to a pound (400g+/-), and do well on 1-2 small f/t rats at dinnertime.

Those are nice looking LA's Dave. Here is a shot of a yearling that I held back from last year. I held back a couple of Ruthveni from last year and at only a year of age these snakes are super yellow already. I have eggs cooking and can't wait to see what this years little tigers look like.

Those're beauties, Karl! Best of luck on that pairing. You're one of the few (that I know of) working w/ Pines out here.

Not sure if anyone is still reading this, but Tommy doesn't have a WC Line, he has a WC Male and a female that was F1 from a WC Female x Memphis Zoo. Those would be from that cross most likely

The female is from the wild male to the wild x memphis female and the male is from the wild male to a vandaventer.
Sorry if it caused confusion!!!
