Herp Society(ies) in OK

I posted this inquiry on the general Herp Society forum a while back, and got no response. I'm hoping that perhaps someone in the DFW area might know something about what happened...

The Oklahoma Herp Society (OHS) apparently withered away many years ago, but an attempt was made to resurrect it within the last couple of years. They had several organizational meetings in 2001/2002, drew up a new charter, and were at least close to electing officers. But as far as I know, the attempt to revive it failed. But seeing that I've been unable to contact any of the individuals who were involved in bringing it back, I don't know for sure.

Does anyone know what happened, or if there are any other regional herp societies in OK? Thanks...

There is still a small group that meets, contact Tony Baum at the Oklahoma City Zoo. He could tell you about his group and another group that is suppost to be forming for the educational-level herpetologist.
