Letters to the TX Governor

We need to get to work on these letters. Unfortunately I'm going out of town again today until Sunday.

The purpose of the letters is to influence the selection of the Director of TP&WD and the 4 seats on the TP&WD commission.

We need to highlight the past 30 years of problems with TP&W and non-game management / resources and hit home the need for a Director and commissioners devoted to the resource and the sportsmen that protect, use and enjoy the resource.

I'm going to delegate this task to the Herp Society presidents, VP's and press secretaries in hopes that we can get full response from the membership of every Herp Society in Texas.

I want a copy of every letter sent out so that I may also deliver them in person, I intend to make sure he gets them courtesy of another unnamed Representative.

We have about two weeks to complete this task, I consider it urgent.

The letters should be formal, professional, non-confrontational, and factual. You may at your discretion add the facts pertaining to the recent passage of section 44 HB 12.

Lastly, Happy fourth of July and I'll leave you with a quote from the late President Ronald Reagen:

I've just been informed:

I need 1,000 letters in my hand by Saturday July 14th.

Letters can Handwritten or produced in Notepad, wordpad, or MS word.

What email should we use for you? Can we just attach our letter to an email and send it to you?

I would advise having a signed copy on file with Joe, either scan it and email it. Or just snail mail the printed signed copy.

I am sure that Joe will send his mailing address to anybody that needs it.
