help. my leopard gecko's one eye is crusted over and it looks like there is no longer an eye there. Also, it seems like she is blind in the other eye. This came on suddenly, and we've never had any other problems in the four years
i've had her... Our vet is great withour dogs and cat, but doesn't know much abot geckos.

Get a wet q-tip and see if it is just dead skin that is stuck on the eye from shedding, if so, soak the q-tip and rub it around the eyes, NOT in the eye and see if this helps, Make sure you have a humid hide available at all times... Hopefully it will just pass. But if it doesn't, call around and see if you can find any reptile vets in the phonebook... GET IT TO THE VET ASAP!!! Good luck!

Also, to see if she is blind in one eye, take a mealworm and hold it in two fingers, let it wiggle in front of the eye on one side, if the leo turns to look at it, it isn't blind. Good luck!

hi mine had a similar problem i took it to the vet he said it was an ulcer and gave me some drops, they didnt work so i kept cleaning it twice a day for about a week maybe longer and in the end a big lump came out the eye (couldnt see any of the eye before the lump came out). the eye was very sore for a week after and he can see fine now this happened to his other eye to about 2 days after the first one healed. my advice is to just keep cleaning it mine is now able to see fine his judgment while hunting is slighly of but he gets there in the end, good luck hope this helps.
