Teet suckers, A.K.A. Milk snakes

terryd Jul 04, 2007 06:20 PM

I just pulled this male off the teet of a cow the other day.

And a few days later I found this female(next post down) suckling a cow teet too.

Seriously,I found this male 10 days or so ago and the female a few days later.
Male, Bighorn county, Montana.

Doug,
Our weather is hot right now, 88 to 95, later in the week it is going to be hotter still. I went out flipping rocks yesterday early in the morning, and by noon it was 90.
By the way, all I found was a Bullsnake which was doing 90 miles an hour, didn't even get a chance to touch it, and three Horned Lizards.

How do you do it? You've contributed more to the milks of MT in one year than anyone has in the history of the planet. Whatever your secret is don't post it here, email me directly!!
They're both nice animals and great pics.....thanx

Jeff,
Thanks, I've been lucky this year. Remember, I got blanked out last year on Multistrata. I remember and thankful for every nipple sucking Milksnake I've found this year.

I hear you have some sweet Cherry co. neonates this year. I'd like to see those. Shoot me an email photo, and I'll have my people talk to your people.

Doug,
I don't think she is an adult, maybe a three year old. I have two year old Multistrata that are as big as she is, but they eat every week sometimes more, so I'm betting she is a three year old.

Nice photos, Dell! I can't wait until you figure out that new camera! I wish everyone on the forum could see this male's head in person - it's got that marbled granite look to it.
