Any kind of transferable problems from snakes to humans?

Whether it be cb or wc (obviously more likely from wc) snakes

mites, ticks, parasites and the things they bring with them come to mind, even things that could come from rodents,

just curious

Wild caughts mat have ticks ,which can be removes. the mites that snakes get do not affect humans, so i guess the answer would be no.

forgot to mention...i cant seem to get the damn ticks out of the picture.

i just found two more on one that i was sure was clear of them.

used store bought stuff that was supposed to get rid of them...the soak in detergent, the oil, everything.

whats the deal?

salmonella in reptiles but rarer in snakes.....
coccydiosis
pinworms
tapeworms
lung disease/cancer from inhaling vermiculite and perlite

there are more but I am at a blank right now.........so wash often......and don't bite your nails......when washing tanks/cages try not to splash into your eyes or mouth.......don't get too much fecal matter into open cuts.....it can hurt/burn a little.......

I clean with cuts......I've been splashed in alot of orafices and I bite my nails......and I wash my hands so often I use bottles and bottles of soap and my skin drys out way too much in the winter..which leads to more cracked open wounds......suxx

.....snakes do NOT often become a problem.........keep them healthy and clean and you should hae no problems at all.......

Keep the snake by itself and keep checking for ticks. I am not sure of using oils, or chemicals, My dog gets a ton of tics and he has frontline on him, Just pick them off and flush them.
