Here is a pic of my pueblan when popping. That is about as far as I can get them to come out. This is a male right? I can't see anything on half of them, which I assume are female.
Anyway, I tried the same method on my new hatchling cali kings, and I can't seem to get any to pop. Any advice on popping kings?

I've seen it, working ok with the pueblans, but not with the kings.
