het or not

bigjakeboa Jul 05, 2007 08:40 AM

is there any way to look at a boa and tell weither or not it is het for albino? My little femal has a lot of little black spots all over the lower half of her body and I was wondering if that is a tall tell sign of being het for albino?

Thanks for all your info in advance.

Jake

Jeff R. (The Boaphile) has a theory that hets for albinism have a noticeably lighter tint to the upper part of the eye than non-hets.

If you look at a bunch of known hets, Jeff sure seems to be on to something.

I understand what you you are all saying about the marker of het albinos. I am going to put up two pics of two of my 07 babies. One is het albino and one is het anery. To test this theory lets see if you can identify which is which

I'd guess the one on top is het anery.
