Just hatched this beauty out!
A few years ago I took a male het clown in on trade. It didn't come with any paperwork and it had changed hands several times before I got it. I bred it to one female and produced 7 eggs all of which were hopefully 50% poss het female. I ended up selling 4 of them and the father a year later and I kept 3 of the girls.
A year later I was in Daytona and saw 2 of the most beautiful clowns I had ever seen at the BHB booth. Luckily Brian agreed to sell me one. Thanks Brian!!! Brian had a hunch the the reduced aspect was genetic. I had only hoped it was.
This year I bred that male to my 3 girls. 2 of them gave me eggs and this is 1 of 2 clowns in the first clutch. The other is still in the egg and looks just as reduced. The other clutch is due to hatch the end of July.
I think Brian's hunch was correct. You be the judge.
