Canned Crickets?

bluefirefly Jul 05, 2007 10:42 AM

Hello.
I was just wondering what everyone thought of canned crickets. I had bought some when I was out of crickets and it would be another day or two until the live ones would be delivered. So I gave my dragons some and to my suprise they loved them! Would it be okay to replace the live ones with the canned ones?

I wouldn't recommend using them as full replacement of live ones, but if your dragon will eat 'em, I'd sure keep some on hand for times just like the reason you got them, when live aren't available. Some nutrients are lost in the processing of canned prey items.

Take care!
