I had my first clutch ever pip yesterday well 2 out of three......tyhe third egg was weird looking......it was swelling and was twice the size of the other eggs, and when i candled it it just looked clear inside so a day after the other two piped i cut it open and lots of liquid spilled out and inside was a really small baby it looked alive and fully developed just really small....but why was there so much more liquid on this eeg and why was it twice as big and swelling. Sorry long post but it doesnt look like this baby is going to make it......anyone think they know what happened here?

Is it out of the egg yet? Did you allow it to come out of the egg on it's own? And why do you think it "might not make it"?
What kind of medium to you keep your just-hatched babies on ..?

Well like i said the others had pipped and it had not, and the egg did not look normal at all. I cut it open a little bit and there was a baby but it was half the size of the others. It did not make it. Newspaper is what i put them on.
