Congratulations, the last species of blood/shorttail
to be crossed with Balls will be the best I am sure.
do not get rid of that pair of snakes, I am not so sure these mating's will make any offspring because of the time of year that they are copulating, I am not saying they won't. But since they are so willing to copulate, it is certain they will eventually do so. Pythons will sometimes breed out of season and not produce any offspring. I would not give up if none are produced from these particular breeding's. They will in my opinion make viable offspring during a fertile period. I also believe this particular mix will make the best cross to date. Also I am waiting for the red blood / burm. It's just a matter of time. While they may produce viable offspring now, I would not want you to give up if they do not. Technically, it is not their breeding season unless you come from perhaps Australia. So keep that pair and keep trying, I bet you will get it eventually. Keep us posted!!!!

I'm going to keep trying with them until they produce, I don't really expect anything from this, so as far as selling them goes I don't want to count my 'chickens' before they hatch...I would probably end up keeping them all and try a sibling x sibling breeding as well. Unless this pair would produce again in which case I would let some go. It took awhile for them to finally start mating, he's been in her cage on and off since last season(of course separating for feeding and an occasional break) and they have only recently been copulating(that I've witnessed, because last season the female produced some infertile eggs, but I figured that was from being in with another blood that was a 'female' and they bred unplanned), the ball gets really hissy if I try to remove him so apparently he likes his girl
Well like I said, I'm hoping for the best, but I don't plan to give up any time soon.
I hope it works out for you.
well done
Paul.

when breeding these does the blood python have to be female or could you use a male blood and a female ball
Superballs?

Thats what I've heard .. that a cross between a Ball Python and a blood python are either called SuperBalls or used to be called BloodyBalls.
I imagine that someone is working on producing a cross between one of the Ball python morphs and either a Black or Red blood python .. would be pretty interesting IMO.
