i got a new eastern king and im woundering if there is any deffinate way to sex it without probing?

Probing would be the best way to sex an adult snake.. If you do not know how to probe you can bring your snake to a vet, or a herp show or herp society meeting and someone will probe him for you..

or you can put it with a female and if it locks up with her.. It's a Male..

no you need to buy a set of real probe and you should not do it yourself for the first time. i have not yet to use one and i need to learn soon.

There are things you can use as a probe and there's a good chance you have them - but real probes are readily available now, and should be purchased. But really you should take it to someone.

Unless you want to breed, the sex of the snake really doesn't matter. If you do intend to breed, get a real set and learn how by watching someone do it.

I was shown by the East Bay Vivarium many moons ago - most reptile specialty stores are run by people who enjoy helping the new generation of keepers out with tips and techniques. After all - people who buy herps are their bread and butter.
