I'm throwing in the towel...

blowitch Jul 05, 2007 05:47 PM

Nerd gets a twin egg with a killer bee and a bee, MJ gets clowns out of a group of 50%-ers, and I can't even get a pastel out of a pastel to normal breeding with 7 eggs!

haha, some guys have all the luck.

I hope I have better luck with my other clutchs and future pairings.

-John
And for the record, there is no way I am throwing in the towel. Those twins adn clowns make me want to try twice as hard!

Better luck next year. That does suck though.

kareo Jul 05, 2007 06:24 PM

I hear you! I had 5 eggs from Spider to normal female - all normals! Maybe next year, we'll both get all morphs!

I did a Pastel x Pastel breeding last year, two slugs and 4 perfect eggs.....one male Pastel, three normals!

Wow-I had 2 seven-egg pastel X normal clutches hatch so far-one had 5 pastels, the other 3. Didn't think too much about it until now-but now I feel like I struck gold!

I had similar results on my first clutch last year. 7 eggs and only 1 pastel. But my first clutch this year just hatched and i got 5 yellow bellies out of 5 eggs from my own proven line male bred to an odd female. I hope my odds are this good on all of the rest of my clutches this year.

Well, you got your bad luck out of the way, so here's hoping the ball gods smile on your other clutches! Let us all know.

Better luck next year, John. Those are some bad odds.

I only got three clutches this season.
One six egg clutch produced 5 fires and a normal
One six egg clutch produced 4 pastels and two normals
and the third clutch (4 eggs) is pipping as we speak and I can see at least one pastel head sticking out! Ya never know what you'll get!!

when something lousy happens...get ready for something good to happen. It works for me.

I once had a clutch of 11 eggs Pastel X normal....1.0 pastel...10.0 normals. Next clutch...7 eggs...Het Caramel X poss het Caramel...0.5 caramels...0.2 66% poss het caramels.

It all balances out in the end.

Good luck!

I often get TERRRIBBBLLLLEEE ODDS!

I just had a clutch of BB x Normal and there is NOTHING(as far as mutations)!

Normals.......

It happens ALL of the time!

I just got a bit lucky on that one...I have plenty more clutches cooking to let me down!

heh, could be worse, you could have a pastel x normal pairing and get no eggs...which is what happened with me this year. But i have high hopes for next year.

Accidently left the probe to the thermostat outside the incubator. Four eggs from a ghost to a bizzare normal.

Then both my huge het ghost females that were also very gravid died (breed by the ghost male as well). I did necropsy's on both the het females...7 eggs and 9 eggs....all with the potential to be female ghosts...what a flippn shame....I was realy hoping this would be my break for the rediculous amount of $$$ and time Ive invested in balls.
