Paradox Poss Super Sunglow...update...

JJsBoas Jul 06, 2007 02:44 AM

Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd post some updated pics of the Paradox Possible Super Sunglow that popped up in my surprise litter of sunglows back in June. She's doing great and took her 3rd meal tonight, which also happened to be her first frozen thawed meal. Very exciting for me It's always great to get such an easy switch over from live to frozen thawed. Just wish some of her brothers and sisters would be so easy to switch.

Anyway, enough jibberish. Here are the pics.

In this pic, you should be able to see the black specks on her side and a bit on her head. I think she's a super to boot because the sunglows in the litter have full saddles and the sunglows that I think are supers have saddles that don't connect in the middle. Some of the saddles on the supers look like triangles with "tips" that are trying to touch but there's gap between those "tips." Also, I tried to get a shot of her eyes because one has some black in it and the other is pink. But she didn't want to cooperate that much, plus my camera skills suck.

In this pic, you might be able to see that her tongue has some black in it as well as some white along with the usual pink. You have to look closely. Very cool and weird

I'm looking forward to seeing this gal grow up. Hope you all like.

Jay

Here are some pics of the Paradox's littermates. Most didn't want to cooperate and sit still for a nice pic But here are a couple that are coming along nicely.

Here is a Sunglow Female. She's got some nice color on her sides, but it's hard to pick that up with my camera. Hopefully, this color will get better with each shed.

Here's a Sunglow Male.

Here's a male Possible Super Hypo Poss. DH Sunglow. I love how "clean" he looks. This guy isn't going anywhere.

Last but not least, here's a female Possible Super Hypo Poss. DH Sunglow, with a little bit of a reverse stripe tail. She's got a very clean look as well. She's also got a permanent residence here with me.

I swear I'm having a great time deciding which ones should stay and which ones should go. I'm inclined to hold on to most of the sunglows and a couple of the poss super hypos poss dh sunglows Gotta love it.

Hope you all enjoy. I'll try to get some pics of the other possible super sunglows (if the boys are willing to sit still and cooperate).

Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season.

Wow, those are all real beautiful animals.

The Paradox and the male poss double het are insanely good looking.

I'd probably be like you are and figure on keeping a large chunk of those back. Good luck with which ever you keep.

It will be interesting to see how that animal changes as it grows. I can definitely see where its got some grey that is trying to come through, but is somewhat disrupted by the albino gene. Interested to see that one in a year to eighteen months. Gorgeous litter all around!!!

Here are some pics of a paradox sunglow we produced last year. The first pic is her as a baby, the others I just took with a Sony Cybershot, with and without flash. The newer pics show the black really well but she also has blue and grey undertones that come and go. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the photo backup I produced a bunch of albins and haven't been fortunate enough to produce a paradox yet, but it will happen! great looking animal!!!

That's pretty cool. I like how much bolder the black got as your paradox aged.

Thanks for those pics. I can't wait to see how my paradox changes in a year or so.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm still very excited about these babies, especially some the super sunglows that I couldn't get pics of (because those little boogers wouldn't sit still)

I appreciate the kind words.
