I found two black eastern hognose snakes about two weeks ago. Last week one laid a slug egg so I gave it a nest box with damp soil. It laid another egg!
So, about incubation, is 77 degrees with about 60-70% humidity ok? I have an incubator, but it is currently set for my painted turtle eggs, so I hope that temp works for both species.
Also, how long will it take to hatch at that temp, any guesses?
Don't hognose snakes usually have more than two eggs? and wouldn't she lay them all at the same time?
How about temperature determining the sex of the baby?
Sorry about all the questions, all information is appriciated!
