I'm stoked!
As some of you know, my season has been odd.
Lost a couple of clutches, have had several clutches where some of the eggs go all the way to hatch time but the babies just die and don't hatch. A few things like that.
I've had some nice snakes hatch too but the numbers are kind of low....Anyway..
I think a lot of you know that my motley creamsicles are probably at the top of my list of favorites. Like the one picture below in the post about UT corns...lol
The parents of that motley cream gave me a nice clutch of 16 this season and those eggs started hatching today.
The mother is a cream het motley and the dad is a stripe cream.
Five babies have hatched so far and all five are motley creams...whoo whoo!
How's that for good odds for a change?
Eight more eggs are pipping as I type but I'm not sure what they are yet.
I also checked on my okeetees and they have started pipping.
Can't wait to see how they turn out.
here are a couple of pictures of motley cream hatchlings.
They aren't very good pictures, I just snapped them quickly as I was putting them in their little dishes.
They aren't quite as red as it shows they are more of a deep orange. Pretty good color right out of the egg.
