1st clutch, a bunch of ugly thayeri.....

vichris Jul 06, 2007 07:02 PM

These poor fawns are pathetic. Maybe I'll have better luck next year.

The buck and doe are in the last pic.

but I really like that one in the bottom right corner with the cool pattern. Lots of good looking thayeri you got there. I've got a nice clutch out, but not shed, of some really nice orange leonis and one intermediate. I've got two more clutches piping now and a fourth due around mid July. Fun, Fun, Fun.

vichris Jul 07, 2007 04:10 PM

2nd clutch is out but need to shed before more pics. I lost a bunch due to infertility but still have more to hatch.

I thought those were out one breeding loan LOL. Man those are some beauties Rick. Are those three holdbacks from last year? If those are from that pair I sent you the male is the brother to the female from this clutch. Her name is Butterscotch. Some great genes in that family

Chris,

Actually the Red lava and Orange leonis phase were from thayeri I acquired from David Weyouth at Mountain Kingsnake before he went out of business. I acquired some really nice male and females from him. The male I got from you who I believe is related to butterscotch did father a clutch last year and here is a couple of his babies. The other female I was talking about is the one I named county. She is Dan Vermilya Stock that you also acquired from David Weyouth. She is a very good female that had a nice clutched last year and 12 good eggs this year. I bread the her to flash this year and I can't wait to see there babies.

Wow, what a fantastic variety of beautiful babies. Something for everyone in there. I especially like the looks of the orange and red milksnake phase baby.
You must be so disappointed. Better luck next time

I'm as suprised as anyone at how diverse these turned out. I guess that why they're called "variable" kingsnakes.

JonelLopez Jul 08, 2007 10:30 PM

Hi Chris

Very nice! I love the contrast on the yellow leonis and the reduced pattern on one. Very ugly indeed! So time to ship it to Northern California! hehe. Talk to you later.

I don't. I'm going to hold back one or two of these but I'm totally confused as to which ones I should keep. I do know that I can't keep all of them.

Which two are you talking about? I've got one or two from a second clutch too that I'm thinking about.

Thanks for the compliment Rick.

Spotted ones, I have a thang for the spotted ones, and the orange ones, and that nice yellow/white(ish) one, etc....LOL

But seriously, a spotted one, girl spotted one (I have two males already).

Chris,

Man...those are disgusting!

Seriously though...I hope that the Thayeri gods are as displeased with me as they were with your sacrifices and offerings over these past few months to have blessed you with such a very sweet and diversified "Box of Thayeri's"!

Later,
Jim.

Chris,

You welcome...for right now, I am envious of y'all that are producing "Boxes of Thayeri's" but seeing what everybody produces is pure enjoyment to me (it feeds my Thayeri addiction)...

I'm looking forward to the day when I have a box or two of Thayeri's "pip" for me...

Later,
Jim.

PS: One of my 2005 females carries your genetics over here in Georgia...she has really started to develop her "metallic" look with a slight "yellow" overwash...thanks man.

Wow! I love the MSP with the bright yellow bands.

Several of the others look much like Rocket. He's still doing well.

Bill,

We need to talk about that MSP with the bright yellow bands.
Thanks for the compliment and thanks for looking.
