Cresties Feeding

Turtlestork Jul 07, 2007 11:24 AM

Okay, I plan on getting a crestie. The thing is I have heard you are supposed to use fruit baby food and feeder insects, yet I have seen all this stuff about T-Rex diets and Repashy super diets and don't know how I should feed my crested gecko when I get it. What do you guys feed your cresties?

feed the t-rex superfood diet. It is better balanced and designed especially for crested geckos. The baby food and cricket diet is not fully balanced and there is more you need to give than just baby food and crickets, I just can't remember what needs to be added once in awhile, other than multivitamins.. bee pollen I think.

Overall, for ease of use and effectiveness, the crested gecko diets by T-rex (superfoods), is the best to give your geckos.

Can I supplement that diet with live crickets so that they get some fun once in a while?

Of course, lots of people do that. I give mine crickets about every third meal or so. She seems to enjoy catching them almost as much as I enjoy watching her catch them...

Good questions.......

I too feed the Crested Gecko Diet (CGD) and supplement with 'dusted' crickets about one a week or so. Great combination.
