Andean Milksnakes

acarrell Jul 07, 2007 12:20 PM

Hi,
After a few years break from keeping herps, I've decided that I once again have time to devote to keep a few. I've always been interested in Andean Milksnakes, but the info available on them seems scarce and basic...just very basic care sheets. From what I can tell, they should be about perfect for here in my Texas apartment....mid 70's temperatures, gentle and handleable, good eaters, etc.
Anyway, I'm one of those guys who likes to have as much info about an animal before I decide to keep it, so I'd LOVE to hear from those of you have been keeping or breeding Andeans. Any info, links, experiences, and even pictures are appreciated.
Thanks, and have a great weekend !

AC

I keep my andeans in a rack system with my black milks. They are kept at room temperature (about 75-77). They are quite calm and eat like champs. They are a really nice ssp. if you ask me!

THANKS...thats pretty much what most of the info out there says. There seems to be a "gap" in info with regards to care/breeding/etc.

I guess i'll pick up a few and just give 'em a go. :^)
