P/K it is still naturally still warm the other you have to warm. I like prekill better myself, F/t I find messy. Just a personal opinion.
Here's the difference in my experience: Many balls that are on pre-killed food will only eat pre-killed and reject f/t. So if one week that snake is not hungry and you freeze the pre-killed rat to try later, the snake will probably turn it's nose up at it when it's f/t.
I had nearly all my snakes on f/t and I loved it because it was so cheap, but then I decided to start breeding some of my own rats (which I would then pre-kill). The problem is that 1/3 of my collection decided they preferred pre-killed over f/t and I don't always have the right sized live rats available for them.
If you only have a couple snakes, f/t is the most convenient because it's cheaper, and you can always re-freeze once and try again a week later if you have a picky eater. Pre-killed is more expensive (since you're buying live), but if you have a ton of snakes then the odds are that if a snake is picky one day, you can just turn around and offer the prey to another less picky snake.
Also, freezing for one month kills most internal parasites and bacteria.

Well There are several differences . With p/k you have to kill it your self and it can be as simple as whacking them in the head or you can set up a co2 tank . And if tour snake doesn’t eat it then it has gone to waste . With f/t you can refreeze it once again and the freezing process kills any internal parasites that the rodent was carrying , they are cheaper and easier to store and you don’t have to kill them your self . But I have found that most of them that will eat p/k will eat f/t or vice versa .but that is just my opinion . Thanks David of DS Reptile Rescue
