new ball question

yeahyeah Jul 07, 2007 10:25 PM

I just got a new ball, it's a little over 2 weeks old. For the three days I've had it, all it's done is stay in his hide box. Is this normal? I have not been handling it since I did not want to stress it out. I read where you should not handle it for about a week. What do you think?

Welcome to the wonderful world of balls. They do love the hides. Really do not expect it to come out to often. You are correct not to handle the snake for at least a week if not two. Because it is so young If you see it starting to rove around allot feed it. still do not handle until you have a good eating established. Best of luck and post a pic .

its normal, balls are shy and secretive especialy at that age. i bet its been coming out try looking in the cage with very dim light (like a tv in the room) between 10pm and 5am and i bet you see him
