I noticed the the warning "Don't look at the light" for a UV Lamp I just bought so I was thinking, if a reptile spends its whole life under these lights, what damage could the UV cause. Could the UVA/UVB possibly harm a reptiles eyes if it were to look directly at the light, especially since they have to be fairly close for the UV to be effective. Would a snake's eyes be more susceptible to damage than a lizard? If there is no harmful effects can you explain why? Thanks in advance.

I don't know. I've seen some discussion about this, but I'm not too sure. You shouldn't look directly at the sun either, but both you and reptiles live under that your whole lives. I've heard of MVB's causing eye problems, but who knows what the causes may be?
