my bigger of my 2 ball pythons will no longer eat prekilled. He has since I got him and all of a sudden since his last shed he wont even look at them but he will pound down 2 live. Anyone ever have them do this?

I really wanted him to stick to prekilled if not frozen/thawed but he is being a pain...

On the other hand my hatchling is pounding hopper mice and I will soon try to switch to prekilled

How old is he (or how much does he weigh?) A lot of my ball pythons go through a "picky-eater phase" at around the 800-1200 gram range (teenagers!). It usually lasts 3-6 months and then they start eating like crazy again. The first couple times this happened I would try every trick in the book to get them eating, now I just offer them their usual meal once every 10 days until they decide to eat again.
