hey ya'll!! A friend of mine is selling me a 55 gallon aquarium w/stand that was used for fish at an awesome-not-walking-away-from-that price..lol I realize that this is probably going to be too big to house a baby bearded dragon, however,I saw these plastic aquarium dividers at a local pet shop(to shorten the tank until he grows a bit more).I mean they are used to seperate fish that have problems with each other or babies... has anyone used these or do you think they would be too flimsy??(I was thinking of maybe putting something on the other side of it(cardboard) so the baby can't see the empty side) My hubby does residential construction(he's already making plans on building the cricket keepers and perhaps an enclosure one day?..lol) so he's pretty dang good with wood and such...should we maybe reinforce it with wood...or just cut a piece of wood to put in the aquarium other than spending money on the plastic divider?? this is the closest to what I'm talking about that I could find! thanks again ya'll!!

I'd just make something out of what you have around the house. I'd make the part the baby lives in 30" long so you have good temperature separation. Taped cardboard might work if you use wood just be sure it can't fall over. You'll probably only need the divider for a few months max.
