Hypos Het Leopard Albino!

Amanda_Burke Jul 08, 2007 11:13 AM

We had a small litter of these guys from a Leopard to a Lipstick sunglow, all of which have crazy patterns and great color. Can't wait to see them after they shed!!

The craziest thing of all is that there was also a kinked albino born in this litter! We will have to euthanize it, but where the heck that came from I don't know...mom is a leopard!! These leopards throw some crazy surprises every time!

Thanks for looking!

Now that is amazing. Hopefully I will hit on the male hypo arabesque poss het male I picked up from you last year. I could def use a few of those over here. You just have to love the color and pattern on those arab sunglows.

Great looking babies. Those are gonna be really nice. Any chance of a pic of that albino that had to be euthanized?

Thanks for the compliments!

It's kinked by the tail and up by the head.

It looks pretty much like a reg albino, no striping or irregular patterns

Hey Amanda! Congrats on the litters.
Quick question, have you tried breeding the mother to this litter before which might explain the albino?
Also, will you and your dad be in Daytona next month?

First congrats on the cool litter.

The question I have is, this is the second het leopard hypo litter I have seen, in both they appeared to be quite drastically different (overall) when compared to a normal het recessive hypo. Would this possibly point that Leopards are codominant with a variable degree showing in the het form (similar to jungles)?

Congrats Amanda, they should really look great after they've shed (considering how cool they look now - wow!).

Now those are cute!! Very nice babies, very pretty. Congrats.

wetceal Jul 10, 2007 09:24 PM

Very nice indeed! Those babies have some pretty trippy patterns. I really like the striping a lot of them are displaying. Also, the Albino in the litter is insane! Too bad it was kinked though.

Congrats on the litters!

Thanks,
Celia
