How about a few ghosts
I guess the flash caused them to show a little dark but they do have some nice color and contrast.

Not really sure what you mean by "what's the point?"
That's the genitics.
It's simply what they are.
Two ghosts both het amel bred together produced ghosts and snows with these snows being homo anery, amel and hypo
thus hypo snow.

I think you mis-understood what he was saying. I am not sure he realised that the hypo snow is for lack of a better word a "biproduct" and that you didn't neccessarily breed to get a hypo snow. So his question would be better put..."Why breed for a hypo snow if you can't tell the difference?" Which I agree... IS there a difference in appearance between a snow and a hypo snow?

what i meant by "whats the point" was: is there any difference other than having more traits in the genes?

well, in this case it was just what happened but if you look at Steve's shots you will see that there can be a diffeerence and they can make for some pretty nice (coral) snows

Amel plus Anery A plus Hypo. Also known as a coral snow. With the hypo gene added to the mix, snows tend to have more pinkish tones. Everything from light pink to coral colors. Here's my 06 female. Steve

Jimmy, which of your adult breeders produced the Ghost you have pictured? Jacob & Lacy? They should turn out to be some knockout babies.

Yep Jacob and Lacy!
The picture of Jacob is pretty much dead on.
The picture of Lacy is a little older she is lighter now with more yellow showing on her neck. I will have to get more updated pics.

That second cream stripe is amazing! Looks a lot like that screamer you had last year. Was it a hold back or did you sell it? Updated pics?

Great looking babies!
How old are they? Just a week or two? I ask because I have what I think are creamsicles (You can see pictures on a message I posted below about butter x creamsicle)
My babies are definitly not as bright as your creamsicle so I'm wondering how mine will turn out, they are a lot more pink...

my flash brightens them up a little and some of my creams lean more towards the dark orange to red side.
There are a lot of times when amels (creams included considering they are amel emoryi/cormn) will not start showing their colors until the first or second shed.
Then when you combine butter with cream they will probably lean more towards the yellows and not be quite as "bright" early on.
It is kind of hard to tell from the pics but I was wondering if there was a posibility of snow.
If both parents happened to be het anery there could be snows in the clutch.

Yes, we had 21 eggs and 4 came out very pale, so we are pretty sure they are snows.
The rest are all the same.
It's too bad babies aren't born with their final colors, it would make life much easier!
But then again, I guess part of the fun is watching them change.
Thanks for your answers.
