I spend about 500-600$ for the kit, the waterfall with the fogger and the pump cost about 120$...
These are real plants, i don't know if it could help snake but they enjoy climbing them.
The coconut bark is really safe for snake, it is 100% natural product and don't smeel for long, only one day, a little good scents and after it don't smelle anything. If you feed you snake outside the tank, it is completly safe!
My snake do love the waterfall, the drink in it and sometimes they soak into!

whoa thats pretty cool man, ur tank looks so good, hmmmm does ur waterfall come with the pump? oh yeah by teh way, does the water splash out onto ur bark wetting everything too? i got ONE more question, how often do u clean ur tank? or do u just scoop up his poop as soon as he does it?

karinecarl Aug 18, 2003 03:55 PM

Nope the pump is sold seperatly...and it never splash out onto the bark, if so i had not pay that price for something that dosent work!

I clean my tank each 3 months, i disinfect it with 2 spoon of bleach into 1 gallon of water, i also remove poop as soon as he does it.

Just for a better disinfectant that does not have the after effects that bleach can if any residue remains, you can try Novalsan. It comes under different names, but basically it is a diluted cholorohexadine solution. They use it in medical institutions and we use it at the wildlife shelter I work with. You just apply and let it air dry. It is then safe to use. Just an idea. Nice tank. What does the waterfall do to the humidity? Andy

It maintain a good humidity level inside the tank.. with the fogger, it never drop under 50%.
