Temperature Gradients ???

mauwdee Jul 09, 2007 01:42 PM

Hello there I live in Las Vegas and in the summer it can get really hot here. I don’t maintain the AC on all day and night because my power bill comes out to like 300 so I tend to set my AC on from 3pm to 11pm. While the AC is off my temperature gradients aren’t much different 85-86 hot end and 82-83 cool end. Sometimes I tend to replace the water with slightly cold water so that the hiding spot under the water stays cool. What are some of your temperature gradients for your corn snakes and do you guys have any suggestions about keeping one side cooler?????

I have my herp room in my cellar. Don't know if you have that option.
If I leave it all be it will be just the enclosures heat and be perfect. Nothing heating leaves it 50 plus or minus. Heating is easier than cooling and cool is less deadly than cold in this case.
