I also believe it's a cross(not knocking it, just pointing it out)...the band count is too high. It's still a good-looking snake Please post pics of the parents...

I'll take pics of the parents this week and post em this weekend. Thanks for the input. You guys maybe right. My dads had this breeding pair for about 12yrs and the maybe two diffrent types of Kings. I don't do kings (mostly balls), and the old man rarely does his homework on things like this lol.

You guys were right its a gray band crossed with a Theyri. So does that make this a hybrid?? Like I said, I know nothing about kings. Thanks

Yes, if you consider mexicana and alterna different species (the currently accepted relationship), then that is a hybrid.

Here are the other pics. Mom is the gray band and dad is Thayrei (? spelling) and female offspring were keeping. Were these snakes every considered same specie?

Yes at one time it went:
Lampropeltis mexicana alterna
L. m. mexicana
L. m. thayeri
L. m. greeri

Now it goes:
L. alterna
and the other three are lumped together as L. mexicana.

Most hobbyists still separate the three mexicanas because they have distinct color and pattern differences.
