Anery Leopard & Salmon Leopard Boas.

BASICALLYBOAS Jul 10, 2007 02:26 AM

We have really been looking forward to this litter since she first ovulated earlier this season. She being a DH Anerytheristic Leopard that was bred by a Triple Het Ghost Leopard. (Salmon Het Leopard Het Anery) She had a very nice litter today. Although we did not hit on the Ghost Leopard, we did hit on the Anery Leopard and Salmon Leopard Boa! The Anery gene used was from Rich Ihle's 'Boo' bloodline. The 'Boo' bloodline is known for very dark, almost black Anerys. The Ghosts, Anerys and Anery Leopard in this litter are very black and silvery! The litter has so much variety in it due to the aberrancies in the patterns and their color. We will post some more pics after they shed, as there are some really wild looking Boas in this litter. We are very happy with the outcome and will give it another shot at the Ghost Leopard next year!

Here are a few pics from the litter.

Here is a shot of the Anery Leopard.

Salmon Leopard

Very nice Ghost Poss Het Leopard. I am going to say it is a Het!

Hope you like the pics and thanks for looking,

Mike & Steph

Wow wonderfull snakes...
Whats next new morphs will you make in future ?

Morgans Boas Jul 10, 2007 07:18 AM

Geez -- what a cool batch of Boas you've created. That Hypo Leopard is so neat. I'm wondering if all the Hypo leopards had the same look? I'm asking because I'm wondering how easy it'll be to tell the difference of an Anery, and a Ghost when the Leopard is part of the mix.
Real exciting. Congrats.

I have been curious to see what an anery leo and hypo leo would end up appearing like. And I am glad to see the combinations are worth while. Congratulations on the litter.

Those are incredible babies. Much better looking then I expected. The anery and the ghost are just awesome!!!! Great project, and great results. With your odds, I'm shocked you didn't get the ghost Leopard!!!! Good enough though. That anery leopard is too cool!!!!

Congratulations on an awesome litter and an awesome year. A lot of questions answered, and still a ton more to do.

Those are pretty wild looking group! The anery looks like it leaves the pattern more and the tail looks like what you would think would be the motley leopard and then we are back to the super aztec and it is all very interesting! Congrats!

wetceal Jul 10, 2007 09:14 PM

It is strange how that Anery Leopard's tail end looks the way it looks! Too bad you guys missed out on the Ghost Leopard...I would be really curious to see if the Ghost Leopard would look more like the Hypo Leopard or more like the Anery Leopard as far as pattern is concerned. I really dig the Hypo Leopard though with those BIG spots!

Congrats on the litter!

Thanks,
Celia

I think the leopard gene is underappreciated and a lot more will be done with it. That anery leopard looks a lot like the super aztec (an economical one)! I'm waiting for the snow leopard.

Mike,
Great looking babies, to bad you didn't hit on the ghost leopard, but awesome litter none the less. Really like that leopard hypo.
Congrats,

Salmon Leopards, but I knew there were others working on them; they certainly look different than I had imagined (in a good way). The Anery is a nice touch too. Congratulations!

My Salmon het Leopard should drop any day now if she doesn’t slug out, another Salmon is a few weeks away. The Salmon Het Leopards are awesome in their own right too.

Very nice and interesting litter. Congrats !!!

Warren_Booth Jul 11, 2007 10:00 AM

These are truelly stunning. I am really impressed by the anerythristic. I am also very interested in the pattern variation in the hypo. It will be interesting to see how the leopard trait varies when combined with true hypo sonorans and true Anerythristic Sonorans. Hopefully I will be able to answer this in a few years.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing post slough pictures.
