ANTS IN MY PLANTS!!

Paws_Ont Aug 18, 2003 01:43 PM

I found a nest of ants in my chams cage this weekend!

They got into the plant soil. I had to re-pot all his plants.

I was hoping to get so ideas of what to use to prevent them from coming back? Anything that will not harm my cham and keep the ants away?

Maybe someone will remember better than I do but there was a thread on this awhile back (you could do a search) I think it was John of Cham Paradise (or Carlton?) mentioned using vaseline around the edges. Is your cage inside or outside?

Hi-

Vaseline, thick shiny packing tape, liquid Teflon (bug stop). Also simple soap and water will kill ants on contact. Hope this helps!
