This is really sad

waspinator421 Jul 10, 2007 03:58 PM

Ok, I'm guessing that this cobra had its fangs removed or something, because the baby doesn't even cry. This is sick.

how about it being sad that the snake is de-fanged.(as you pointed out the baby shows no sign of pain) yeah i can't believe they are letting a baby play with a cobra (venom or not). and just for the record i have extremely strong views about venamoids. (I HATE the people that do that)

Aubrey..
It is an old, and very cruel practice, but they will actually sew the mouth of the snake closed to keep it from biting.. eventually the animal will starve to death.. but they will just go find another one.

Just a little more evidence that we live in a sad sick world..

Are you serious? Thats awful! I though de-fanging was terrible enough... sheesh! How would they like it if we sewed their mouths shut... "oh, we'll just get another human after you die."

Actually, I think the defanging thing is a myth.. Most vemonous snakes (I know the naja's are included - but not sure about the king cobra) shed their fangs. They actually are growing several fangs at one time in various stages.. so if you pull one out, another will replace it pretty fast.

Some people will have "garage or alley" type operations on venomous animals to either cut the venom duct or sometimes even remove the organ and duct that produce and deliver the venom. This creates what is commonly refered to as a "venomoid" and will certainly stir up a heated debate on most any forum. This is not a fail safe method either, and is, at least in my opinion disgusting and abusive to the animal.

I was going to post that the snake was not opening it's mouth. Typically even a cobra would be hissing when that mad.

Very sick and inhumane video!!!!!!!!

I can't believe what some people will do to get their moment of "fame" (in this case INFAMY) on the worldwide forum of the Internet. It's disgusting!
