reptile friendly building materials??

webspyyder Aug 18, 2003 02:10 PM

im building an enclosure for a small american alligator, and i have a few questions. im building the enclosure itself out of plywood and i want to know if i can use epoxy for waterproofing, but i dont know if it is safe? also, what materials are safe for cage landscaping, such as polyurethane sculpting foam or something of the sort? i want to make the enviornment as natural looking as possible, without having to worry about it weighing a ton...lol any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanx

I also want to know if a sealer would affect my snakes. I just finished sealing a rack I built and I don't know if it will affect the snakes at all. Thanks,
Kevin
